People may think that professional care is that provided by the medical services. However there are many different types of health and social care services available to carers and people with dementia. This includes clubs, day care, domiciliary care, residential care, as well as services provided by the National Health Service. The availability of these services vary from place to place. These services can be run by private businesses and /or voluntary organisations.
